The Woman Bound to the World

`1. As this the artist of these pieces, what was your main objective?

My main objective as the artist of these pieces was to get two images that relate to each other and combine them into one creating a beautiful image that has synergy

2. What tools did we primarily use for this project?

The tools we primarily used was the paint brush tool, the poly tool, and the add vector mask.

3. What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?

Some of the challenges I faced was finding images that weren’t blocked by the school and trying to combine the images I had into one.

4. One of the options for this project was to remove the background of your main image. If you chose that option for one or all your pieces, what tools or techniques did you use to remove it? Were there some tools or techniques that worked better for you than others?

I only removed the background for one of my images and that was because I just wanted to see the result. The tools I used was the poly tool to click/select around the background keeping my main image out of it and then deleting it.

5. What are the advantages of using a Layer Mask to create the Double Exposure effect?

The advantages were it allowed me to swap back and forth from the images since they were sided by side and this allowed me to get the right opacity in areas I wouldn’t have been able to see if I had them on two separate layers.
